Beer kits are pretty cheap. But I wonder if I can make a beer-like brew with household ingredients. I have the proper equipment for doing beer kits. At the end of the it's just grain and sugar. Has anyone attempted something like this? I'd be interesting in hearing your successes and failures.

2022.01.23 12:12 Prestigious-Ad-5461 How much calories should I eat? 21 F 5’3 121 lbs
I’m 5’3 and 120 lbs. I’m very petite and my normal is 105-110 lbs. that’s where I feel my best because usually all my extra weight goes to my stomach. I was eating 1200 calories a day and I lost weight at first, went from 136 to 121 really fast. It seemed I caused my metabolism to slow down because after a few months I stopped losing weight with the same diet. I started to have binge days during the holidays and it caused my metabolism to repair somewhat. Anyway I decided to up my calorie intake because I always feel hungry, and I couldn’t sleep at night because of my hunger. I was wondering how much should I up it if I’m exercising, burning like 300 calories a day?

2022.01.23 12:12 Prize_Investigator_5 Have you ever…..
Have you ever gone to deliver the groceries and see a second order sitting on the porch already.
I know it’s common to see groceries from other stores or even other batches from the same store, but this specific order was from Costco.
I shopped the whole thing casually chatting with customer (not about replacements), my custom text is a conversation starter and I use talk to text to remain quick while I shop.
So it’s like 18 items from costco, a few 15-20$ packs of chicken and beef, A few types of cheese and crackers, And like 8 different medicines and vitamins and personal items. 2 cases of waters, pay was like 35$ short delivery. Super simple.
Until I get there, and the exact same order, is already sitting there. I bout pooped my pants. Thank god the order said leave at door.
So my question is this Have you ever seen the exact same order already delivered? What did you do?
What would you do if the customer opened the door and wanted you to cancel because they already have the items (speak from experience)
My brother joking suggested I keep the order and take a photo of the ones that are there but that’s obviously insane.

2022.01.23 12:12 santos0121 HomePods acting weird
I have 3 HomePods, 2 of which are paired in a group in the living room and the 3rd in the kitchen. Sometimes when I’m trying to play music of all 3, it will either only work on the two in the living room or the 1 in the kitchen alone. Sometimes I’ll have to reboot one to get them all working. Other times all 3 will be playing music and one will stop working randomly and make a pop sound. Anyone else experience this?

2022.01.23 12:12 jblaaa 3rd party tooling issues with 'The "remote" backend does not support saving the generated execution plan' on TF Cloud
Hello, I am looking at a bunch of different auxillary tools related to terraform. Capabilities to do things like module unit testing, cost analysis, etc. It seems the majority of the open source tools require that you're able to perform a terraform plan and export the plan file for analysis. The customer environment I am working with and in my lab at the moment are using terraform cloud. I am assuming there's no workaround with terraform cloud (minus maybe local runs which defeat 90% of terraform cloud's value)? Not sure if someone has experience with this? Can you maybe download the plan from the API some how in the same format as 'terraform plan -out=tfplan'?

2022.01.23 12:12 AnOkayCataloupe [Case Study] New Faceless YouTube CashCow Channel
I did try and run a case study on faceless cash cow YouTube channels before but it hit a few stumbling blocks. Those channels are still running and still generating cash but they're so ingrained into the websites that the costs become blurred and they had established traffic to drive growth faster.
I was looking for a fresh niche to start a channel for so I could document things better and I stumbled onto something about a week ago.
I can't post images on JustStart but to follow the case study in more detail (and see the results so far) I have a video on this new channel case study here.
This Case Study is a Little Different This case study isn't exactly the same as my other channels.
My other channels are outsourced. They’re mostly in info niches and need a budget to build and grow but I’ve no interest in doing it myself. For this case study, I stumbled into a trend that suits the faceless YouTube style, it’s potentially a pretty good RPM and the content is pretty easy to produce.
It isn't going to take a big budget to outsource or a lot of time to work with, the RPM could make it a profitable project and I'm starting it from complete scratch which might make for a more interesting case study than my other channels.
The (Potential) Good The Google trends for this topic are really growing.
This kind of trend isn’t something I would normally look at. I like consistent growth so I know the niche isn’t going to vanish by the time I get established in it.
And that’s certainly a risk here, however, it could (potentially) become an evergreen niche and the majority of content producers in the niche are hobby bloggers. I can see a potential way in, I can see it becoming a good cash-flowing asset and (best of all) I can create a month’s worth of content in under an hour or two.
If we can get an established channel in the niche it should be an easy asset to manage. A few hours once in a while for a hands-free cash flow and the RPM might well be better than my existing cash cow channels.
There’s a potential problem, however.
The (Potential) Problem Normally, I like to start a channel in a niche I can get some traffic for. Usually, I’d like some organic search traffic, an email list or some social traffic so my channel gets a spike of views and subscribers early on.
The Digital Assets Lab channel is a fair example of this. It’s more of a hobby blog so I don’t exactly push it hard but you’ve probably found me from a forum or Reddit. For the ones that found me through YouTube – a good part of that is because I actually promoted the channel.
With this new channel, I can’t really do that. I don’t have anything established in the niche and it would be expensive and time-consuming to try and rush it.
Because the niche is growing so quickly at the moment, my plan is to just start. The majority of the competition are hobbyists so consistent publishing and following the popular trends might give me enough of a push. I do have a few ideas on how I might speed things along a bit.
The Start Everything I needed for the channel cost less than $100. Probably the cheapest channel I’ve ever started.
Spent about two hours skimming through the popular channels to see what seems to work. Another hour to get things set up and I was ready to start creating content. The videos themselves are easy to do and I can batch them together quickly.
With nothing but the algorithm to bring views, I didn’t really know what to expect but the first couple of days showed the first video doing well.
It’s not the fastest-growing channel I’ve ever seen but for just publishing easy content it’s hard to complain. The watch time is pretty good, and subscribe and engagement rate is looking good so far.
We’re being ranked for the main niche keywords. Not right at the top but on the top 10 or so, plus we are being suggested by related videos in the niche. That’s a good start especially considering we’re really relying on YouTube to push the channel.
(I can't post the image here on JustStart but most of the traffic came from browse and search so the algo is promoting the channel. We had a drip from shorts but not enough to really be worthwhile).
You’ll see a little traffic from the short shelf on the traffic source – I posted one but I don’t know if I’ll continue that. It’s potentially a way into the niche as most of the competition isn’t doing it but I don’t want to screw with the watch time metrics for the longer videos.
Promotion I don’t have any existing traffic for this niche so I’m a little out of my element here. I have a couple of thoughts on growing the channel quicker:
2022.01.23 12:12 ItsMango cold approach and long term relationships
I know that relationship resulting from a cold approach is less likely to be long lasting as compared to meeting girls through traditional means (school, work, hobbies or through friends). My question however is by how much? I'm specifically looking for girls around college age (18-23). Group of friends I hang out with is very tight, meaning no new faces are introduced into the circle and I live in a small city (~40k) where meetups around hobbies I don't think ever take place and even if they do I wouldn't know how to find them. I'm getting matches on tinder and I do talk to girls and by a law of large numbers, some of them are bound to agree on a date if i asked them out but I ralized it's not something I'm interested in as I'm not looking for ONSs and I feel like meeting girls irl is much better way of building confidence and social skills
